Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Wine Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our wine retail shop. This role blends leadership, customer engagement, and operational management in a dynamic, e-commerce-focused business. The Wine Retail Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, driving sales on the retail floor, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a passion for wine, and the ability to lead a small team with energy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations and staff scheduling.
• Supervise and support staff in fulfilling orders, restocking, and customer service.
• Manage and maintain accurate inventory, including receiving and processing deliveries.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain floor displays and ensure the store is consistently well-stocked and visually appealing.
• Foster outstanding customer service and assist customers with selections as needed.
• Train and mentor new staff members to ensure consistency and quality.
• Collaborate with ownership on store promotions, events, and seminars.
• Uphold store cleanliness and presentation standards at all times.

Job Requirements

• Prior retail or management experience in wine, spirits, or hospitality strongly preferred.
• Must be organized, energetic, and self-motivated, with excellent communication skills.
• Retail hours include weekends, evenings, and some holidays, so flexibility is required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and POS systems is a plus.
• Strong knowledge and passion for wine.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
