The Opportunity

A global Tier 1 automotive supplier is looking for a Plant Controller to serve as the financial backbone of their Fremont, OH facility. This position is open because the previous Controller was promoted to Finance Manager — a direct signal of the growth this company invests in. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you'll be a strategic business partner with full ownership of the plant's financial operations.

Your Day-to-Day

Lead all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for the facility
Manage cost and general accounting, product costing, capacity planning, and time studies
Analyze operating costs and variances, delivering timely financial status reviews to plant leadership
Oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets
Develop and maintain forecasting and budgeting models
Prepare special studies, regulatory reports, and fiscal year-end audit binders
Work directly with external auditors and maintain all audit documentation
Participate as a member of the plant management team, contributing to TQM and Best Methods initiatives
Supervise and develop the accounting department staff

What We're Looking For

5+ years of relevant industrial finance experience
Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle plant accounting functions, including cost accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings clearly to management and cross-functional teams
Experience working with external auditors and preparing regulatory and compliance reporting
Comfortable leading a team and functioning as a trusted advisor to plant leadership
