Job Description

Our client is a Midwest-focused office products and business solutions company founded in 1945, with 14 locations serving multiple states. They offer a broad range of products and services, including office and janitorial supplies, furniture and design, copiers/printers, managed print services, and technology/IT solutions, backed by a strong emphasis on personalized customer service.

Salary: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an Office Machinery Service Technician in York, NE to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain office machines while providing excellent customer service. This role involves on-site and in-shop service, managing assigned territories, and supporting sales of maintenance agreements and machine supplies.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic, mechanical, software, and copy-quality issues on office machines.
  • Diagnose network connectivity problems and provide support or consultation.
  • Maintain timely response and manage assigned customer territory efficiently.
  • Train key operators at digital/analog machine installations and report information to dispatch.
  • Listen to and resolve customer concerns; escalate unresolved issues to the Service Manager.
  • Prepare accurate work orders, secure customer signatures, and record meter readings on all machines.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, vehicles, and toolkits; manage parts and supply inventory.
  • Promote sales of maintenance agreements, machine supplies, and digital connected machines.
  • Submit leads for new machine sales and market repair services.
  • Attend training seminars and service meetings to stay current on procedures and service bulletins.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; technical degree in electronics, computers, or basic networking preferred.
  • A+ Certification desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and accuracy skills.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds regularly; heavier objects with assistance.
  • Willingness to spend 75%–100% of time traveling within a 30-mile radius of York, NE, to service office machines.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
