Merchandising Retail Associate

PeopleReady in Fort Lauderdale is hiring Merchandising Retail Associates for Cirque du Soleil in Hallandale Beach, February 13th to April 25th! Come be part of the fun today! 

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17 - $17 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Merchandising Retail Associate:

• Responsible for assertive selling of merchandise through Cirque point of sale system
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
• Collect payments, whether in cash or credit, and redeem coupons
• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the merchandise area
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
• Bag, box or gift-wrap packages
• Handle merchandise returns and exchanges

Available shifts:

Shift Timings - 1st Shift (Day) , 2nd Shift (Evening) , Weekends

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Possess the ability to learn a point-of-sale system and retain the information
• Candidate must be outgoing, personable, vocal, energetic and willing to engage customers
• Up-sell and sales experience preferred
• Be comfortable working in a loud and fast pace environment efficiently
• Have a professional, clean appearance with a straight posture. Employees are responsible for arriving in black shirts, pants and shoes (no logos)
• Be physically able to stand up for long hours
• Understand customer service and hospitality
• Work well with others
• Pay attention to the details
• Have a welcoming and friendly attitude (smile and proper greetings)
• Know when to get the help of a supervisor
• Available for the whole duration
• Speak English – other languages are an asset
• Background check required
