The Field Engineer will work on-site at natural gas compressor station projects, ensuring that natural gas remains pressurized as it travels through pipelines. These industrial plants require gas compression using turbines, motors, or engines. The role involves working across various disciplines, including civil, mechanical, and electrical, and involves significant piping work.
ResponsibilitiesThe work environment involves supporting a large, multi-discipline industrial pipeline facility construction project, with expansion and upgrades to existing plants. The project spans a 20-acre lot, including civil work, generators, and 30 miles of pipeline. The role requires working on-site 6 days a week, 10 hours a day, with trips home provided monthly or bi-monthly. Projects are mainly located in the Midwest, with durations of 6-12 months. New Engineers receive strong training, partnering with a Senior Project Manager and team, starting with smaller tasks before taking on entire projects.
