The responsibility of a driver is to deliver Party Rental Ltd. goods to customers and clients and assists helpers with the unloading and loading, in the most efficient, safest and professional manner.
Loads and/or unloads truck, with Party Rental Ltd. equipment assisting the driver’s helpers.
Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment
Must operate vehicle in the safest possible way, always wearing seat belt
Work in adverse weather conditions
Must report any mechanical or operation problems with the truck
Follow state and local safety regulations and precautions
Maintains DOT log according to state and federal regulations.
Completes all necessary paperwork and maintain records
Maintains radio or telephone contact with supervisor and or dispatch to receive instructions or be dispatched to new location.
Position blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo for transport
Makes use of equipment to load, unload, truck
Works with helper to load and unload truck manually
Must deal with dispatchers, loaders, other employees, customer representatives, guards and other personnel at the stops, as a professional
Maintain truck clean inside
