Well-established manufacturing plant in the greater Morristown, TN area has immediate opening for a Sr. Buyer with experience purchasing chemicals and resins for the plastics industry. The Sr. Buyer will develop sourcing strategies for assigned products to reduce material cost while improving gross margin and product quality. Position reports to the Purchasing Director.
Will negotiate contracts with raw material suppliers including price, volumes, payment terms, and other protections. This position is responsible for sourcing components for two plant locations. The Buyer will also work closely with Supply Chain and Finance groups. Purchasing background must have experience sourcing chemicals, plastics, resins or similar raw materials.Qualified candidates will have BS degree and at least 5 years Purchasing experience in manufacturing.
