We are looking for a Senior UX Researcher to lead strategic research initiatives that drive design innovation, quality and ultimately better experiences for the users we design for. 

You can be either from a UX Researcher or User Research background and you will shape research strategy, mentor and guide research practices across the organization, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and turn insights into action to influence project direction at the highest level. The Senior UX Researcher and Strategist is a key role that helps us understand our clients' audiences – their contexts, concerns, behaviors, needs and aspirations. 

You will lead the rigorous execution, analysis, and delivery of actionable, pragmatic recommendations, and find opportunities to scale the business impact of research for our clients.

What you'll do

• Break down complex business challenges into clear research plans; lead the end to end research process and demonstrate strong communication skills to deliver insights that lead to impact for businesses
• Act as a thought leader in the domain of strategic use of research
• Design and execute end-to-end custom primary and secondary research using a wide variety of methods, incl AI tools
• Effectively manage and prioritize research plans through ambiguous and fast-changing environments, align and efficiently execute critical insights and work with a large group of stakeholders
• Confidently communicate and present research findings and identify solutions in compelling ways to stakeholders
• Create user experience strategies and flows for digital products (Flow charts, information architecture, UX sketches) 
• Understand and clearly communicate best practise UX patterns for digital products, including accessibility and AI native products 
• Work cross-functionally with design, project management, and client stakeholders
• Generate insights that both fuel ideation and validate/test designs and high level concepts.

Who you are and what you'll bring

• At least 3 years of professional experience conducting user research, preferably in an agency environment with a variety of clients
• At least 3 years of experience conducting quantitative research, qualitative research, or a combination of both
• At least 3 years of experience conducting data analysis (such as: survey data, behavioral analytics, etc.)
• Experience showing the value of strategic research and UX research to teams who may have less experience in the area
• Understanding of and comfort with working with cross-functional roles: UX Designer, Product Owner, and UX Strategist
• Frame problems, not just execute tasks
• A portfolio of research and UX work for digital products with proven business and customer impact, fluent in Figma and other design tools 
• Able to plan complex projects, work with third party vendors or service providers, set and commit to timelines, raise risks in a timely fashion, and deliver on time
• Effective and engaging written and verbal communication skills
• Experience designing and facilitating workshops, both in-person and virtually
• Experience with Strategic design work is a plus
• A strong understanding of cultural nuances in the United States, legally allowed to work in the USA (work visas not offered as part of this job)
