Job Description

MINIMUM 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE IN RESTORATION. 

Connect Staffing is seeking a hard-working Restoration Tech for a restoration company in the city of Irvine, CA.

Schedule:  Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm with OT as needed.

Requirements of a Restoration Tech:

• Minimum 1-year experience in restoration
• Valid IICRC Certification is preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean DMV record 
• Must speak English or be Bilingual
• Experience working with residential customers and providing quality customer service.
• The ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Prior experience in roles such as Construction Laborer, Drywall Installer, Flooring Installer, Demolition Laborer, Painter, General Laborer, Finish Carpenter, Tile Setter, Interior Painter, or Drywall Finisher is a big plus!

Responsibilities of a Restoration Tech:

• Operate and maintain a variety of restoration equipment (e.g., extractors, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, ozone machines).
• Clean and disinfect equipment after each job.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of work performed, including photos, moisture readings, and job notes.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers).
• Perform moisture mapping and take accurate readings using specialized equipment (moisture meters, thermal imaging cameras).
• Apply anti-microbial and anti-fungal treatments.
• Remove damaged building materials (e.g., drywall, flooring, insulation).
• Follow strict IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) and industry guidelines for safe and effective mold removal.
• Communicate professionally, empathetically, and clearly with property owners/managers, explaining the restoration process, timelines, and answering questions.
