Procurement Buyer
Direct Hire | Up to $75K + Bonus
Central Houston, TX | Hybrid (Remote Fridays)

Who we are looking for:
We’re looking for a Procurement Buyer who can independently source and purchase materials and services supporting midstream operations and projects. This role owns the purchasing process from supplier engagement through PO closeout, partnering cross-functionally to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective procurement.

What you’ll be doing:

• Source, evaluate, and engage suppliers; support competitive bidding and pricing negotiations
• Create, manage, and close purchase orders and change orders from initiation through completion
• Maintain supplier relationships while monitoring pricing, delivery performance, and service levels
• Manage purchasing activity in NetSuite (or similar ERP), ensuring accuracy, approvals, and audit readiness
• Partner with internal teams to forecast needs and align purchasing timelines
• Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation, including contracts and supporting records
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with internal controls and regulatory requirements
• Support audits and contribute to process improvements and standardization initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or a related field
• 5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably within energy, industrial, or midstream environments
• Hands-on experience with purchase orders, change orders, and contract documentation
• NetSuite experience required
• Working knowledge of SOX-controlled environments
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
• Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
• Procurement certification (CPPB or similar) a plus
