Rolle IT Cyber Security is hiring a high-growth Network Security Engineer to bridge advanced escalation support and real-world network architecture.
This is a
growth-track position built for an engineer who wants mentorship and ownership on the path to
Senior Network/Security Architect . Expect a mix of
Tier 2/3 escalations and
design/implementation projects across Florida-based clients.
Signal to candidates: You should be comfortable leading network deployments, firewall changes, VPN builds, and producing clean diagrams/documentation without being micromanaged. Strong documentation skill will go a long way here.
What You’ll Do - Design & Implement: Architect and deploy secure networks (LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, switching, Wi-Fi)
- Firewall & Edge Security: Own Fortinet/FortiGate and/or SonicWall environments (policies, NAT, IPS/AV profiles, upgrades, HA)
- VPN & SD-WAN: Build and support IPsec site-to-site and SSL VPN ; assist with SD-WAN implementations
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve Tier 2/3 network issues using packet captures and structured root-cause analysis
- Client Collaboration: Translate business needs into secure, scalable designs and implementation plans
- Documentation: Maintain high-quality diagrams (Visio/Lucidchart), standards, and change notes so environments stay supportable
Requirements - Experience: 4+ years in Network Engineering / Network Security (MSP or multi-client experience a plus)
- Security Mindset
- Firewall Strength: Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet (NSE 4+ preferred) and/or SonicWall (SNSA/SNSP preferred)
- Tools: Wireshark, Nmap; monitoring tools like Auvik / SolarWinds are a plus
- Design Skills: Professional ability to produce clear network diagrams and implementation documentation
- Travel: Ability to work from Melbourne, FL as needed with occasional client-site travel across Florida
- Growth Mindset: Interested in progressing into a senior/architect track through ownership and mentorship
