Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven General Sales Manager to lead our Sales Department. In this key leadership role, you will oversee all new and pre-owned motorcycle sales, manage the sales team, drive revenue growth, and deliver exceptional customer experiences that keep riders coming back.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team (including Sales Managers, Finance & Insurance, and Sales Associates)
  • Set and achieve aggressive monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for new and used motorcycles
  • Oversee the entire sales process from greeting to delivery, ensuring adherence to Harley-Davidson’s customer satisfaction standards
  • Manage sales forecasting, inventory levels, and gross profit margins
  • Work closely with the Finance & Insurance department to maximize F&I penetration and overall deal profitability
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain top sales talent
  • Monitor and enforce a consistent, efficient sales process
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented, and accountable dealership culture

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong management history in a powersports, automotive, or dealership environment
  • Deep knowledge of the Harley-Davidson brand and motorcycle industry preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales and profitability goals
  • Strong leadership and people-development skills with the ability to motivate a team
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing abilities
  • Experience with dealership management systems (DMS) and sales reporting tools
  • High energy, positive attitude, and a genuine passion for motorcycles and customer service
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to obtain a motorcycle endorsement
  • Harley-Davidson sales or management training/certification a plus
