Job Title: ETL Test Lead

Job Location: USA- Remote

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned ETL/ELT Test Manager or Lead to drive the validation of enterprise data and application migration from Oracle and Netezza to Snowflake, and oversee the transformation of ETL mappings from IBM DataStage to Matillion and dbt. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining test strategies, managing test execution, and ensuring data integrity across platforms, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Migration & Transformation Validation:

• Lead testing efforts for data migration from Oracle and Netezza to Snowflake.
• Validate transformation logic and data consistency post-migration.
• Ensure ETL mappings from IBM DataStage are accurately re-engineered in Matillion and dbt.

Test Strategy & Planning:

• Define comprehensive Test Strategy covering functional, regression, performance, and data validation testing.
• Create and maintain detailed Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Scripts aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Establish automated and manual testing frameworks for ELT pipelines.

Tooling & Execution:

• Utilize Jira and Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and sprint planning.
• Integrate testing activities into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
• Monitor test coverage and ensure traceability from requirements to test results.

Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, developers, and project managers to align testing objectives.
• Communicate test progress, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders.
• Facilitate defect triage meetings and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers and testers.
• Allocate resources, manage timelines, and ensure quality deliverables.
• Promote best practices in data testing and quality assurance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in ETL/ELT testing and data migration projects.
• Strong expertise in Oracle, Netezza, Snowflake, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with IBM DataStage, Matillion, and dbt.
• Proficiency in Jira, Azure DevOps, and test management tools.
• Experience in defining and executing Test Strategies and Test Plans.
• Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and automation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in Snowflake, Matillion, dbt, or relevant QA tools.
• Experience with Python or scripting for test automation.
• Exposure to data governance and metadata management.
