Job Description

Full job description (

If you love dogs, cats, exotics & spending time outdoors, then this is the perfect job for you. Working at Care Fur Pawz is a great fit for people who love spending time with animals, have time and flexibility, are active and happy, and want a rewarding day-to-day experience at work. We treat pets like family. We are a premier pet care company that is expanding and excited to offer more dog walking and pet sitting services

We are in the “peace of mind” business. We provide peace of mind to the pet parents who are either traveling, working, retired or recovering from an operation. We visit our clients' homes to care for their pets and & also their homes, taking dogs for walks around the neighborhood or trails, letting them out to play in the backyard, scooping litter boxes, cleaning yards, occasionally providing medications, and a lot of TLC & belly rubs. We ask that you drive to these appointments and use our mobile app to provide photos and updates to the clients to let them know how the pets are doing. For traveling clients, you may be asked to water plants and collect the mail as well.

We are looking for part-time staff who have trustworthy & hands-on experience caring for pets, who are willing to travel within our service area, commit to a minimum of 6 months of employment, pass a background check, complete training, & are available to work during shifts based on our clients' needs and your schedule.

Our busy times are weekends and holidays. Of course, you must be willing to treat furry clients like they are like your own. Some of the many advantages of working for us include lots of room to increase your hours, flexible schedules, streamlined communication from your phone: and a relaxed work environment (e.g., shorts, jeans, etc.). Education is important to us, and we offer continuing education opportunities to help you succeed with your clients. With us,  you are an employee, not a contractor, so you are fully protected by our liability insurance, our bonding, and worker's compensation insurance. We want you to be protected and secure when out in the field working for us. Let's talk while we walk. If fresh air, adorable pets, exercise, no office to report too, seeing neighborhoods while you walk someone's prized pet isn't for you, we understand. If you are tired of working in buildings, dealing with people and problems, give me a call or email. Please pass this on to anyone you think may be interested. We are selective in finding only people who take what we do as seriously as we do.

We have the following requirements:

-You must be 18 years of age or older.

-You need to live in the these Aurora Zip codes to be considered for this position.

  • 80014
  • 80016
  • 80013
  • 80012
  • 80231

- We do not offer vehicle insurance, so you need to carry your own insurance and have your own reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.

- Available year-round, this is not seasonal. Please only apply if you can commit to working all twelve months.

- You will need to be able to walk dogs in all kinds of weather conditions (within reason): rain, heat, & cold. We do have restrictions and safety measures for extreme weather for both the safety of you and the pets.

- An absolute must: You MUST adore animals! We provide continuing education opportunities on pet care training & Pet First aid, so you are prepared to care for the pets to the best of your abilities and knowledge.

- Must be able to provide and pass the Pet First Aid and CPR training. The cost is covered by you. You will be reimbursed after 6 months.

- You must be able to pass a background check.

If this sounds like you, please send your resume and answer the following questions:

1. Do you have pet care experience? Please briefly describe.

2. Why are you applying for this position?

3. You will primarily work by yourself. Is this something that you are comfortable doing? If yes, explain why this would work well for you?
