Akkodis is seeking a Datastage Developer for a Contract with a client in Boston, MA. This role requires strong expertise in designing and developing DataStage ETL jobs to meet complex data integration needs .
Rate Range: $43/hour to $44/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Datastage Developer job responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and optimize DataStage ETL jobs to support data integration and transformation requirements.
Apply ETL standards, best practices, and quality guidelines throughout the development lifecycle.
Perform SQL queries, database interactions, and data validations to ensure accuracy and performance.
Provide UNIX and shell scripting support for job automation, troubleshooting, and system operations.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable ETL solutions.
Monitor, debug, and enhance DataStage workflows to ensure reliability, efficiency, and timely data delivery.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
5–7 years of experience in ETL development with strong hands‑on expertise in IBM DataStage.
Proficiency in SQL and database interactions, with the ability to work across complex data environments.
Strong UNIX and shell scripting skills to support automation, troubleshooting, and ETL operations.
