Job Description

Blue Ridge Haulers is hiring Class A CDL drivers for a dedicated account running East and North Central regional lanes. This is a touch freight position drivers perform full manual unload of boxes onto a conveyor belt. If you are physically up for it, the pay reflects that. Monday through Friday operation, weekly home time, and modern automatic equipment.

WHAT YOU EARN

• Weekly Gross: $1,700 to $1,800
• CPM: $0.90 per mile approximately 1,000 miles per week = $900 mileage base
• 3 loads per week $240 unload pay per load = $720 weekly unload pay
• Stop Pay: $20 per stop
• Safety Bonus: $100 weekly three incident-free deliveries required
• Orientation: Paid

• Total: $1,700 to $1,800 weekly gross

SCHEDULE & HOME TIME

• Mostly Monday through Friday occasional Saturday work
• Weekly home time on weekends
• Day and night driving as required by route schedule

• Equipment: Newer tractors with automatic transmissions
• Orientation location: Chesapeake, VA

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Class A CDL 21 years of age or older
• Minimum 6 months recent Class A driving experience
• Physical ability to perform full manual unload of boxes onto a conveyor belt
• Clean driving record no major accidents, citations, or suspensions in the past 5 years
• No DUI convictions within the past 5 years
• No involuntary termination from most recent employer
• Stable 10-year work history no more than 6 months unemployment in the last year, no more than 1 year in the last 3 years school and training exceptions considered
• Must pass both urine and hair follicle pre-employment drug screens
• Recent criminal offenses reviewed as part of safety assessment
• Residence preference: within 70 miles of Chesapeake, VA
