St. Mary's College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City is accepting résumés for the part-time contingent position of Assistant Men’s & Women’s Rowing Coach. Responsibilities include serving as an assistant coach in a competitive NCAA Division III men’s and women’s rowing program. Duties for the part-time Assistant Men’s & Women’s Rowing position include assisting in all areas of coaching the men’s and women’s rowing teams including, but not limited to, recruiting, organizing and planning practices and meet strategies. Primary focus will be in sub-varsity development, but will work with all student-athletes. Some maintenance of fleet rowing equipment, rowing machines and coaching launches. This is a part-time contingent position with no benefits provided.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required and knowledge of NCAA and US Rowing rules and regulations. Must have collegiate rowing or coxing experience. US Rowing Level 1 Coaching Certification or higher and collegiate coaching experience preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license, ability to lift approximately 30 pounds, and ability to travel, work nights and weekends are required. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check. The annual salary for this position is $10,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
